MFA DIPLOMATIC ACADEMY HOLDS PRESS CONFERENCE
Hafiz Pashayev, Deputy Foreign Minister of Azerbaijan and the Rector of Azerbaijan MFA Diplomatic Academy May 15 briefed journalists on the Academy’s activities.
He said Research Center established in the Academy aims to help forming state policy and provide the government with high level research materials.
The rector stressed the Academy has set two priorities: developing one year Master’s degree program and drawing a program for diplomats to study training and education issues concerning foreign policy.
The rector said foreign professors and teachers are planned to be invited to work in the Academy.
Head of the Academy’s Research Center, influential U.S. politician Paul Goble said during his tenure he would teach young diplomats to perform professional-level analytical work.
He stressed the Academy will strengthen its efforts to inform the world community about Azerbaijan’s reality.
The Research Center recently launched “Azerbaijan in the World” online magazine.
The Center also published a book entitled “Modern diplomacy and consulate law”.
