Mikayıl Jabbarov: Trade with Uzbekistan surges over threefold

“Azerbaijan and Uzbekistan’s economic and trade relations continue to demonstrate strong growth. In the first five months of 2025, bilateral trade turnover soared more than threefold compared to the same period in 2024, surpassing $200 million,” said Economy Minister Mikayıl Jabbarov as he addressed the 3rd Azerbaijan-Uzbekistan Interregional Forum in Baku.

Jabbarov highlighted that 2024 was a pivotal year for bilateral ties: “In May, the 2nd Interregional Forum took place in Guba, where sister city agreements were signed between Fuzuli and Gulistan, Bilasuvar and Termez, and Mingachevir and Namangan.”
