A bill on approval of the “Agreement between Azerbaijan Republic and Asian Development Bank /ADB/ on permanent office of the ADB in Azerbaijan” was discussed at the Milli Majlis sitting, April 16.

The parliamentarians highly appreciated the activity and some technical projects implemented by the ADB. They noted that ADB gave credits and grants in education, banking spheres. In addition, some projects are being implemented now.

Closely monitoring economic reforms, purposeful use of credits and grants ADB decided to open its office in Azerbaijan. The agreement was signed in 2003 to this effect.

Following discussions, the bill was approved.
