MILLI MAJLIS DEPUTY VISITS TASHKENT
During Mr. Rustamkhanly’s meeting with Chairman of the Supreme Majlis of Uzbekistan Erkin Khalilov, the parties discussed possibilities for expanding inter-parliamentary cooperation and founding Parliamentary Assembly of Turkish speaking countries.
The MM deputy also told of the Armenia-Azerbaijan conflict over Nagorno-Karabakh, its hard consequences for our country, and pointed, with regret, to existence of double-standard approach to the problems resolution.
Mr. Rustamkhanly handed the Chairman of the Milli Majlis Murtuz Alasgarov’s letter of invitation to visit Azerbaijan over to Mr. Khalilov.
Mr. Erkin Khalilov in his turn informed the guest of the reforms to be realized in the Uzbek parliament.

A meeting of Sabir Rustamkhanly with deputy Chairman of the Writers’ Union of Uzbekistan Sirajedin Saidov focused on expanding bilateral links in the spheres of literature and culture, and the issues related to organization of reciprocal visits of the teo countries’ parliamentarians.
Present at the meeting was Ambassador of Azerbaijan to Uzbekistan Aydyn Azimbekov.
