MM STANDING COMMITTEE CONDUCTS SITTING IN “BAKU CHILDREN'S VILLAGE SOS ”
As correspondent of AzerTAj informs, members of the Committee all have toured the "village", visited the houses located here, a kindergarten, have familiarized with conditions of life of the children. Executive director of the Azerbaijan Association of Children's Villages SOS Ugur Zeynalli in detail informed the visitors. As he said, the first “Children's village SOS” has been created in 1949 in the Austrian city of Imst. In these villages, which becomes more and more, they take care of the children abandoned and deprived. Created in 1999 “The Baku Children's Village SOS ” at the opening of which there was our national leader Heydar Aliyev, consists of 14 houses. In this "village" located in the Khatai district, there is a kindergarten, which is attended also by children from families from aside. Now from 85 children here only 21 children is the inhabitant of "village". In each of the houses on care of "SOS Mums” there are 7-8 children. The way of life of children is as much as possible approached to conditions in normal family. “SOS Mums” lives together with the children, directs their development, independently operates housekeeping. Children of school age receive education in various educational institutions of city. They live in this "village" till 16 years.
Chairman of the Committee Hadi Rajabli, opening the sitting has stated that members of the Committee have decided to make friends with the families of inhabitants of local houses. Henceforth, members of their families will visit houses of the friends, and inhabitants of houses become visitors of these families.
Also was speaking the head of the department of the social legislation of Milli Majlis Adila Abasova, executive director of the Azerbaijan association of children's villages SOS Ugur Zeynalli and others. It has been marked, that in the near future such "villages" will open and in Ganja. IT was especially noted that accommodation of children in such "villages" should not reduce care of the government for them.
Inhabitants of “Baku Children's Village SOS” have addressed the visitors with the interesting concert program.
