MUNICIPALITIES RECEIVED LESS FINANCIAL AID LAST YEAR
Minister of Finance Avaz Alakbarov told AzerTAj correspondent that municipalities had not received the scheduled 25 billion manat and it has objective reasons.
The financial aid assigned from the budget should be purposeful. Ministry of Finance got some complaints regarding the financial irregularities in municipalities’ activity. Taking into account results of inspection carried out in accordance with the complaints ministry imposed some restrictions on financial aid to be given to municipalities.
However, while discussing the execution of the budget in the parliament commissions leaders of local authorities and deputies considered the restrictions as the actions confronting the law and hampering municipalities’ activity.
