A protocol of agreement on widening trade and economic relations between Turkey and Nakhchivan Autonomous Republic of Azerbaijan was signed here on April 21 during the visit of Turkish delegation led by Prime Minister’s Foreign Trade Advise Tunjer Kayalar, AzerTAj correspondent reports.

The meeting with the Turkish delegation was held at the Supreme Majlis of Nakhchivan. The guests were informed in detail on the history of this Azerbaijani land, its natural resources, economy and employment; it was stressed the significance of simplification of visa regime between Nakhchivan and Turkey, and that Turkish companies and businessmen were activity involved in the region. They stressed the necessity of mobilization of all efforts to expand cooperation in the fields of science, education and culture. During the meeting, the parties have also reached an agreement on building a trade center on the Igdir-Sadarak border.
