Minister of Education Misir Mardanov has met vice-president of the US Fund of Civil Researches and Development Mrs. Kathi Campbell. Mrs. Campbell updated the Minister in detail on the Fund’s activities and suggested opening at one of Azerbaijani Universities a Center for Science and Education to enhance interest of young researchers to applied and fundamental sciences, and strengthen the integration of science and education, as well. She noted that the center would be financed by the Fund and other private organizations. Misir Mardanov stated that Ministry is ready to provide financial support to the program. At the end, the sides agreed to set up a new center at one of higher education institutions with high-level teaching of fundamental and applied sciences.
