The Commission Chair Ali Huseynov informed the members on the amendments proposed, and noted that that introduced in the Law “On Constitutional Court” suggests that when going on a leave, Judge of the Constitutional Court is paid from the state budget a one time pay in the amount of his two months’ official salary, his life and health are insured in the amount of his five year’s official salary, while retiring on a pension, the Judge is granted a pension in the amount of 80% of his official salary.
After the debates, the Commission members have decided to submit the draft laws for discussion to the Milli Majlis.

A regular meeting of the Milli Majlis was held on May 21 to discuss agreements signed between Azerbaijan and the International Space Communication Organization “Intersputnik”, government of Germany, Uzbekistan, between the GUUAM and CIS member states, as well as the draft laws On Introducing Amendments and Supplements in several legislative acts.
Chair of the Milli Majlis Standing Commission on Economic Policy Sattar Safarov noted that Azerbaijan’s joining the “Agreements” of the International Space Communication Organization “Intersputnik” is fully in line with the country’s national interests. Among the reasons for that, he named, in particular, reduction of the country’s risk to be subjected to information blockade, provision of security and defense, and opportunity to broadcast local radio and TV programs to a larger area.
According to him, the annual membership fee the Republic will pay to the Organization is 30 thousand US dollars.
The “Agreements” include Agreement on Establishment of Intersputnik International System and Organization of Space Communication, Protocol on introducing amendments in the mentioned agreement, the Agreement on the Legal Capacity, Privileges and Immunities of the Intersputnik International Organization of Space Communications etc.
In accordance with the Agreement on financial cooperation in the framework of regional cooperation signed between the governments of the Azerbaijan Republic and Federative Republic of Germany, under the “Regional Anti-Tuberculosis Program” project, Germany will give 3 mln euros grant to Azerbaijan.
Deputy Chairman of the Milli Majlis, Chair of the MM Standing Commission on Security and Defense Affairs Ziyafat Asgarov reported on agreements signed between the GUUAM member states on prevention emergencies, terrorism, organized crime, drug trafficking and other dangerous crimes. He noted the important role of the documents signed in development of the structure and strengthening partnership.
