Warmly having welcomed the ambassador, chairman of Milli Majlis has noted wide scope observed in the last years economic, cultural, and also inter-parliamentary connections between Japan and Azerbaijan.
Having touched on the activity of Japan in the field of lining of the basic export oil pipeline of Baku-Tbilisi-Ceyhan, chairman of parliament has emphasized special development of economic relations, having noted, that now the volume of commodity circulation between our countries makes 121 million US dollars.
Having touched during conversation of the Armenia-Azerbaijan, Nagorny Karabakh conflict, M. Alaskarov has expressed to the Ambassador gratitude for support of the territorial integrity of Azerbaijan by Japan.
Ambassador Toshiyuki Fujiwara has dwelt on prospects of development of economic and cultural connections between our countries.
Having touched the Armenia-Azerbaijan, Nagorny Karabakh problem, the Ambassador has noted, that Japan constantly supports the just cause of Azerbaijan, and has wished the prompt returning of refugees and the IDPs to their native lands.
At the meeting, ambassador Toshiyuki Fujiwara, inviting chairman of Milli Majlis Murtuz Alaskarov to Japan, informed, that at the end of August of this year Azerbaijan would be visited by group of members of the House of Representatives of parliament of Japan.
