President Ilham Aliyev: Azerbaijani journalism plays a very positive role in society

Azerbaijani journalism develops and plays a very positive role in society, said President Ilham Aliyev at a ceremony to give out apartments to journalists on the occasion of National Press Day. “All freedoms, including the freedom of speech are provided in Azerbaijan,” the head of state said. The President noted that there are thousands of press organizations in the country, adding that the Azerbaijani media shed light on problems faced by society, conducts valuable researches, and plays a key role in the development of society.
President Ilham Aliyev said that the development of the media is in the limelight. The head of state said he regularly holds meetings with media representatives, adding that the construction of buildings for journalists is a manifestation of this policy.
