PRESIDENT OF AZERBAIJAN AND PRESIDENT OF IRAN VISITED HEYDAR ALIYEV’S FUND
Here, President Mohammad Khatami and members of delegation have been informed on the purposes of the Fund created as a token of respect to memory of the national leader of Azerbaijan people. It has been marked, that the basic purposes of Fund consist in support of realization of the large-scale programs directed on studying of rich heritage of President Heydar Aliyev, on progress of Azerbaijan, in participation in realization of the projects serving multiplying economic power of independent Azerbaijan, support of various programs and actions on increase of well-being of the population, rendering of assistance to carrying out of the work connected to protection of national - cultural wealth, wide propagation of ideology of Azerbaijanism and the Azerbaijan culture.
The head of Azerbaijan state Ilham Aliyev in detail informed the honored guest and members of delegation on the exhibits concerning to the various periods taken from personal archive of our national leader Heydar Aliyev.
The visitors have familiarized with the numerous photos reflecting the most various moments of the life of Heydar Aliyev, creating wide representation about the whole period of history of Azerbaijan, the gifts presented by known political leaders of the world, books about our great leader.
Mr. Mohammad Khatami with special attention has familiarized with the picture on which it was embodied together with the President of Azerbaijan Heydar Aliyev.
After acquaintance with the Fund, President of Iran Mohammad Khatami has left record in the book of guests of honor.
The heads of the state and visitors from the balcony of Fund admired panorama of Baku. President Ilham Aliyev spoke of the done in the city. The president of Iran highly has estimated large-scale transformations observed in Baku.
President Mohammad Khatami has presented to the Fund of Heydar Aliyev a skillfully weaved Tebriz carpet and told: “Allow me to present to Heydar Aliyev’s Fund a carpet. Let Allah rest his soul in peace. It is the passport of the carpet. The carpet has been weaved in 2002-2004 that is created for two years. Its author is Javad Pasiban. It has been weaved in the ancient city of Tabriz”.
Highly having estimated the gift, President Ilham Aliyev has expressed gratitude.
The head of our state has presented the President of Iran a picture album reflecting the previous part of his official visit to Baku, having noted, that the pictures devoted to his subsequent meetings.
