PRESIDENT OF AZERBAIJAN ILHAM ALIYEV PARTICIPATED AT 9 MAY FESTIVITIES
President of Azerbaijan Republic Ilham Aliyev participated at the festivities held on the occasion of the Day of Victory.
The war veterans, public representatives and Baku residents gathering before the tomb of one of the prominent commanders of the Great Patriotic War, courageous son of Azerbaijan people, Twice Hero of the Soviet Union Hazi Aslanov greeted and cheered the president of Azerbaijan.
President Ilham Aliyev warmly greeted the war veterans and congratulated each of them on the occasion of the Victory Day.
President of Azerbaijan Ilham Aliyev met the ambassadors of foreign countries and guests attending the 9 May festivities in Baku and congratulated them on this landmark day.
Head of the Azerbaijan state laid flowers on the tomb of the Twice Hero of Soviet Union Hazi Aslanov, revered memory of the brave son of Azerbaijan who demonstrated heroism and patriotism in the WW II.
After the state anthem was performed, Head of Azerbaijan State had warm conversation with the war veterans, interested in their problems and needs. The veterans reminded care and attention of the national leader of Azerbaijan, President Heydar Aliyev, thanked to President Ilham Aliyev for continuation of his political course.

Then, President Ilham Aliyev revered the guard of honor, met with the family members and natives of Twice Hero of Soviet Union Hazi Aslanov and congratulated them on the Victory Day.
Chairman of Milli Majlis Murtuz Alaskarov, Prime Minister of Azerbaijan Republic Artur Rasizadeh, head of the President Administration Ramiz Mehdiyev and other officials took part at the 9 May festivities.
