PRESIDENT OF AZERBAIJAN ILHAM ALIYEV RECEIVES AMBASSADOR OF SLOVENIA
The Head of State congratulated the Ambassador on his country’s joining the European Union calling this a great success. He described Slovenia as a rapidly developing country, and noted that Azerbaijan is too successfully moving towards integration into the European family.
Noting that Azerbaijan-Slovenia economic relationship has huge potential, President Ilham Aliyev expressed confidence that his country would take the opportunity to establish as close economic cooperation as possible with Slovenia.
President Ilham Aliyev appreciated the Ambassador’s activity in Azerbaijan.
Mr. Andre Grosselli said it was the honor to him to start activity in Baku in capacity of ambassador of the EU member state, and promised to take every effort for strengthening bilateral relations between Azerbaijan and Slovenia.
Describing the great economic progress in Azerbaijan as very significant factor of bilateral cooperation, the Slovenian diplomat stressed the importance of taking effective steps to increase trade turnover between the two countries.
In conclusion, Ambassador of Slovenia Mr. Andre Grosselli expressed gratitude to Azerbaijan President Ilham Aliyev for the sincere meeting.
Present at the meeting were Chief of the Presidential Administration’s Foreign Relations Department Novruz Mammadov, and Honorary Consul of Slovenia to Azerbaijan Borut Negushar.
