PRESIDENT OF AZERBAIJAN RECEIVES WOMEN PARLIAMENTARIANS OF TURKEY
Warmly greeting the guests, head of Azerbaijan state recalled his last visit to Turkey and appearance at the Grand National Assembly. President Ilham Aliyev also stressed the importance of such a large delegation in development of cooperation between the legislative bodies of two countries.
Noting the high level of relations between Turkey and Azerbaijan, President of Azerbaijan dwelt on quick development of the links in the economic, cultural and others fields as well. Head of State also spoke of the high-level cooperation of the legislative bodies in the frame of international organizations. President Ilham Aliyev stated that after Azerbaijan has become full member of the Council of Europe representatives of both countries demonstrate similar positions in this Organizations.
Then, President Ilham Aliyev expressed confidence that the relations between Azerbaijan and Turkey would constantly develop.
Ms. Halug Ipek, head of the delegation, attorney of the group leader of Justice and Development Party of Turkey, expressed deep gratitude to the head of Azerbaijan Republic on behalf of the delegation, and conveyed greetings from the Speaker of Turkish Parliament. Prime Minister of Turkey Racep Tayyip Erdogan attaches great importance to this visit, she undrelined.
Noting that the members of delegating are at the same time members of the friendship group on parliament links with Azerbaijan, Mr. Haluk Ipek said that the friendship group is the largest of such groups at Parliament. He stated that the women parliamentarians are well aware of the activity of their Azerbaijan colleagues. H e said that every deputy in the delegation would represent and support position of Azerbaijan in the international organizations.
