PRESIDENT OF AZERBAIJAN REPUBLIC ILHAM ALIYEV RECEIVES DELEGATION OF FINLAND
The Azerbaijan President Ilham Aliyev expressed hope that the visit of the Finnish delegation to Azerbaijan is successful. Touching upon relationship between Azerbaijan and Finland, the Head of Sate noted that his country wants to develop relationship between the two countries in various directions. So far they are not very intensive but I think that reciprocal visits, and, particularly, your visit will help us to develop the relations between our two countries, he said.
President Ilham Aliyev further pointed out that “Azerbaijan is moving very actively towards European integration and has made very important steps in this direction”.
The Head of State described as very important to conduct meetings beyween the two countries’ officials more often. Our delegation has already visited your country and that visit was also very successful, he said.
President Ilham Aliyev expressed hope that this visit of the Finnish delegation would help the two countries to get closer.
Chief of Frontier Service of Finland thanked the President of Azerbaijan for taking time to receive his delegation, and noted that cooperation between Finnish and Azerbaijani border guards is very fruitful. He expressed hope that this visit will become a basis for further development of bilateral links.
The guest especially noted that he had been honored to have the opportunity to revere memory of nationwide leader of the Azerbaijan people Heydar Aliyev.
The meeting was attended by Chief of the Azerbaijan Frontier Service Elchin Guliyev.
