PRESIDENT OF AZERBAIJAN REPUBLIC ILHAM ALIYEV RECEIVES DELEGATION OF RUSSIAN FEDERATION
Greeting the guests, the Head of Azerbaijan thanked the delegation members for arriving on such a remarkable for all Azerbaijanis day, and consideration toward Heydar Aliyev’s memory.
Speaking of the Heydar Aliyev’s personality Mr. Mikhail Shvydkoy said in particular “for us, he was a man who had always featured the sphere of culture in the relationship between Azerbaijan and Russia, so we could not but arrive.”
President of Azerbaijan Republic Ilham Aliyev stressed that Heydar Aliyev used to remember warmly his meetings with representatives of creative intellectuals of Moscow, Russia. “We have always had active contacts in the sphere of culture, in all spheres, between journalists in particular. Russian Theatres used to come to Azerbaijan, Days of Culture used to be held,” the President of Azerbaijan said.
