PRESIDENT OF UKRAINE MEETS NATO SECRETARY GENERAL
In his turn, President Kuchma congratulated his guest on the appointment to the office of NATO Secretary General. He also expressed hope for development of cooperation between Ukraine and the North Atlantic Alliance.
Asked about the Ukraine’s stance concerning the Transdnesterian settlement, President Kuchma stressed the final resolution of the conflict should imply ensuring all parties’ interests including territorial integrity of Moldova.
The parties also touched upon signing a Memorandum between Ukraine and the Alliance on use of Ukrainian Air Force during NATO operations and trainings.
