The All-Russia Azerbaijan Congress expands sphere of the activity in the regions of Russia. As was informed by correspondent of AzerTAj, the meeting of representatives of regional branches and the organizations of the Congress, which are included in the Ural district, has taken place in Sverdlovsk area of the Russian Federation. At the meeting, representing was the head of society "Azerbaijan" A.Kuliev of Sverdlovsk area, the head of regional branch of Sverdlovsk area G. Jafarov, chairman of non-commercial fund "Azerbaijan" S. Shikhlinsky, heads of regional branch of the Tyumen area, representatives of public organization of Diaspora "Ozan" of the Chelyabinsk area, and also national - cultural center "Birlik" of the Khanti-Mansiysk autonomous region and others.

Opening was the meeting, vice-president, the head of executive office of AAC Natig Agamirov who has told about activity of the Congress on consolidation of the Azerbaijan Diaspora, public organizations representing their interests in the Russian Federation. N. Agamirov briefed on characteristic activity of Presidium and executive office of AAC on the discussed question, dwelt on the basic directions and priorities of the Organization for the forthcoming period. And these, N. Agamirov has noted, questions of association around of the Congress of public organizations of Diaspora in subjects of the Russian Federation at simultaneous perfection of work on the organizational office of the Organization. He also has in detail stopped on priorities of meeting, which includes creation of the inter-regional structure of AAC uniting all branches, and the organizations, included in the Ural district. N. Agamirov has especially emphasized, that the similar structure is already created in Privolzhsk district and this practice will be continued.

Heads of the regional organizations spoke at the meeting about activity of the organizations in regions, have stated offers on improvement of work of AAC with compatriots, have supported the offer on creation of Ural district Council of AAC. And such Council was unanimously created at the meeting. His chairman was elected S. Shikhlinsky, chairman of non-commercial fund "Azerbaijan" of Sverdlovsk region.
