A renowned journalist, the first Deputy Director General of TASS news agency, Mikhail Gusman, held master classes on modern tendencies and challenges in the activities of news agencies at AZERTAC.

Opening the master classes with introductory remarks, the Chairman of the Board of AZERTAC, Aslan Aslanov, said that Mikhail Gusman is a well-known journalist not only in the post-Soviet area, but also in the world. He addressed Mikhail Gusman and said: "We often participated together in the forums of international media agencies and journalist organizations. You are a close friend of AZERTAC. You have always supported us. We are very grateful to you for this".

The Chairman of the Board noted that he witnessed Mikhail Gusman, who is a leading figure in journalism, is treated with great respect at international events.

Mikhail Gusman thanked Aslan Aslanov for his sincere words to his address. He said that he and the head of AZERTAC, Aslan Aslanov, are tied with many years of time-tested relations of friendship. "An outstanding journalist and a professional like Aslan Aslanov has been heading Azerbaijan's leading news agency AZERTAC for all these years. Under his leadership the agency has represented Azerbaijan in the news space of the world at a high level with dignity. AZERTAC is a source of reliable, accurate and objective news and is known for this in the world.

Touching on the problem of misinformation and fake news, Mikhail Gusman added that this is done purposefully in order to form a certain opinion in society. He spoke about his own professional journalistic activities and the most important details that could bring success in any field of journalism.

The first Deputy Director General of TASS news agency then responded to questions from participants and spoke about the requirements put to young staff members in his agency, the professional qualities necessary for journalists, including the role of news agencies in the modern media system and other urgent issues.
