SECRETARY OF ENERGY CHARTER HIGHLY ASSESSES DEVELOPMENT OF LINKS WITH AZERBAIJAN
As was informed to AzerTAj from the press center of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, at the meeting Ms. Ria Kemper informed that the basic purpose of her visit is participation in the exhibition of oil and gas and conference being conducted in Baku where she will speak on the activity of Secretariat of the Energy Charter.
The guest has emphasized, that the organization supervised by her is interested in continuation of effective cooperation with Azerbaijan, and it is important that the Azerbaijan candidates also have occupied vacancies in the Secretariat.
Then, Ms. Ria Kemper, informing about the work, has told: “The question of transportation of energy is one of priority directions of activity of the Organization supervised by her and consequently she is going to apply the protocol on transit to the Contract on Energy Charter.
Minister Elmar Mammadyarov highly has estimated participation of the guest in the Oil and Gas Exhibition and Conference, has regarded connection of our country in 1997 to the Energy Charter as the certificate of the serious attitude to this international organization.
The Minister has drawn attention of the guest to active participation of our country in the Baku-Tbilisi-Ceyhan oil and Baku-Tbilisi-Erzurum gas propjets, has noted, that it is one of the basic directions of cooperation with the Energy Charter in the field of safety of the existing pipelines delivering now the Azerbaijan oil on the world markets.
Having touched participation of the candidates from Azerbaijan in vacancies in the Secretariat of the Energy Charter, the Minister has emphasized, that our young diplomats are interested in occupying these workplaces.
At the meeting, also was held exchange of views on some other questions, representing mutual interest.
