Sergey Markov: “The election process has been conducted in compliance with law”

“No any law violation has been registered in the polling stations, and the election process has been conducted in compliance with law,” said member of the Public Chamber of Russia, Director of the Institute of Political Studies Sergey Markov as he met Deputy Chairman and Executive Secretary of the leading New Azerbaijan Party (YAP) Ali Ahmadov.
Ahmadov said the voting was conducted in 5,547 polling stations in 125 constituencies, adding all necessary conditions were created in polling stations for nearly 5.2 million electors.
Mr. Ahmadov noted that some 767 candidates were registered in 125 constituencies, which means more than six candidates per a constituency, noting the minimum number of candidates per a constituency was three, while the maximum number was 12.
The Deputy Chairman of the YAP said that a total of 22 political parties participated in the elections.
