SOCIAL POLICY OF INTERNATIONAL BANKS IN FOCUS
Representatives of the Bank Information Center have told about mechanisms of protection of interests of the population of the countries receiving the international investments, requirements to monitoring projects, credits of the World Bank on poverty reduction, the new mechanism of consideration of complaints by the European Bank for Reconstruction and Development.
Ms. Heike Minekhards informed about such Programs of the World Bank and the International Monetary Fund (IMF) as support of microeconomic stability, improvement of conditions of the life and opportunities of refugees and IDPs, increase of the right of access to the basic services in the field of public health services and education and improvement of their quality, development of environment for increase in opportunities of formation of incomes of vulnerable.
As she said, the principle of work of the World Bank is investment in the project only in case of its advantage for all interested social groups, including vulnerable layers of the population: ethnic minority, women, old men and children. Besides, by words of Minekhards, the international financial corporations should provide openness of incomes, access to design documents, development of the responsibility in management of the incomes directed against corruption, obligatory tracking of parameters of the level of poverty.
