STATE COMMITTEE CHAIRMAN MEETS ACTIVISTS OF ALL-RUSSIAN AZERBAIJANIS CONGRESS
The meeting was opened by Vice-President, Chief of ARAC’s Executive Board Natik Agamirov. He told the guest on activities of the Congress aimed at consolidation of Azerbaijanis residing in Russia, protection of their rights and interests, as well as inter-confessional relations and the life of Azerbaijani believers in Russia.
Mr. Agamirov also dwelt on the need for closer contacts between the State Committee on Working with Religious Structures and ARAC to establish links with Azerbaijani religious organizations in Russia, in particular, the Moscow Islamic Society of Azerbaijanis “Ahlil-Beyt.” In his opinion, the Committee could have a positive impact on the spiritual and religious education of the Azerbaijani young people in Russia.
In his turn, Chairman of the State Committee on Working with Religious Structures Rafik Aliyev informed the meeting participants on the Committee’s activities and priority directions of its work. He noted that the structure is ready to render any kind of assistance to the Congress in developing cultural wealth of Azerbaijanis living in Russia. Our organization, he said, could provide the Azerbaijani believers with needed literature in both Azerbaijani and Russian. Mr. Rafik Aliyev noted as well that it would be fruitful for them to conduct a scientific practice conference in Baku.
