STATE FRONTIER SERVICE CARRIED OUT TACTICAL EXERCISES ON CASPIAN
In the exercises conducted in eight stages, are taking part the group of frontier patrol vessels of the State Frontier Service, separate aviation group, the frontier groups in Lankaran, Khudat and Shamkir regions, separate signal battalion and group of fast expansion. They carried out the actions connected to reduction of submitted forces in the condition of raised and full alert.
Then, was held joint operation of “frontier search” of the forces participating in the exercises. This stage included performance of the fighting tasks directed against the violator of border, making attempt to disappear after rendering armed resistance. After neutralization of the conditional violator of border, the group of boundary patrol ships together with separate aviation group has carried out saving operations.
The chief of the State Frontier Srevice general - lieutenant Elchin Guliyev, having informed in his interview to journalists about participation in the exercises about eight thousand members of staff, has emphasized, that the work done by Frontier Service for last period achieved successes and that grow out constant attention and care of the national leader of Azerbaijan Heydar Aliyev and the continuer of his course, the President, Supreme Commander-in-chief Ilham Aliyev about frontier guards. According to the stipulated program, during the period till 2005 the State Frontier Service in every respect will enter the advanced stage.
