SUMKHIMPROM TO BUILD NITRIC FERTILIZERS PLANT IN ALIBAYRAMLI
The meeting dealt with construction of the plant of nitric fertilizers. Irshad Aliyev reminded of the recent Ministry‘s request to the Ukrainian plant for nitric fertilizers production in order to plan the construction of the plant in Alibayramli. E. Lapin discussed this request with the director general of the Sum Research-and-Production company V. Lukyanenko and got the O.K. The plant is preliminary estimated at $228 million, however, taking into account financial situation in the country, the Azerbaijani side asked for designing cheaper versions of the projects.
Irshad Aliyev suggested designers to visit Alibayramli to evaluate the situation.
E. Lapin noted that he is aware of the economic situation of Azerbaijan and said that the project was presented to Azerbaijani specialists to learn of.

Guests from Ukraine met with Prime Minister of Azerbaijan Artur Rasizadeh and discussed the issues of construction of the above-mentioned plant, modernization of the Sumgait superphosphate plant. Irshad Aliyev reported on the proposal of the Severdonetsk state research institute of chemical technologies design noting that landowners need 968 thousand tons of chemical fertilizers. Unfortunately, 5,5 percent of their needs are provided now.
The sides decided to further study the issue of the construction of the Alibayramli plant of nitric fertilizers and modernization of Sumgait superphosphate plant.
