Swiss Ambassador to Iran and Embassy staff evacuated

The evacuation of foreign nationals from Iran is ongoing via the Astara state border checkpoint.
According to AZERTAC's regional correspondent, Ambassador of Switzerland to Iran Olivier Bangerter and six embassy employees have been evacuated from the Astara state border checkpoint, entering the territory of Azerbaijan.
The evacuation process was carried out with the completion of relevant document checks, registration, and other procedures, and all necessary measures were taken to ensure safe passage at the border crossing point.
After completing the necessary registration procedures, they were safely dispatched to their destination.
The evacuation of foreign nationals from Iran is being conducted in stages, under the supervision of the relevant state institutions, and without interruption.
