Three Syrian families arrive in Prague to settle down in Czech Rep

A plane with three Syrian families with three children who will undergo treatment in Czech hospitals landed in Prague today, the Interior Ministry has told CTK, adding that all the incomers have undergone a security check and will be granted Czech asylum, according to ceskenoviny.cz.
The three ill children are accompanied by a total of 13 members of their respective families.
The Syrians are the first among the 400 refugees from Middle East refugee camps whom the Czech Republic wants to accept within the relocation programme in the foreseeable future.
The three children will undergo treatment in Prague´s University Hospital in Motol. One of them suffers from muscle dystrophy, another from a heart defect and the last from the consequences of burns.
The Czech Health Ministry previously assured the public that there is no danger of the children spreading an infectious disease in the Czech Republic.
All of them were examined by a Czech doctor in Jordan.
The children were vaccinated according to the Syrian habits. In the Czech Republic, their vaccination will be completed in accordance with the Czech system.
The Syrian families will be placed in a temporary refugee facility in Prague. Their integration and the social care of them will be taken up by the Prague Archdiocese Charity, the Interior Ministry said.
The families will also be included in the state integration programme aimed at immigrants´ smooth inclusion in Czech society.
"All resettled persons will be granted international protection in the form of asylum and a thorough health and welfare assistance," the Interior Ministry´s spokeswoman Lucie Novakova said in a press release.
Further refugee families are to arrive in the Czech Republic by the end of the year, the ministry says.
Apart from accepting 400 refugees from Middle East camps, Prague also plans to accept 1,100 refugees who stay in Greece and Italy now by the end of 2017.
