Turkish Vice President: We always prefer dialogue and diplomacy over conflict
Antalya, April 17, AZERTAC
“Türkiye prefers diplomacy over conflict, and stability over insecurity. That is why it engages in multiple regional cooperation frameworks. Türkiye is a member of NATO and EU candidate country, while also supporting initiatives like the Organization of Turkic States (OTS), expanding cooperation among Islamic countries, and strengthening regional security structures,” said Cevdet Yılmaz, Vice President of Türkiye, during his remarks at a panel titled “The Role of Regional Ownership in a Transforming World,” held as part of ADF2026.
Noting that Türkiye prefers dialogue over conflict, Cevdet Yılmaz noted that wars benefit no one while a just peace benefits all. He outlined two paths—one of instability and loss, and another of stability through diplomacy—and said Türkiye will keep communication channels open and expand cooperation across Africa, Asia, and Latin America to improve global conditions.
