TURKSOY Secretary General visits Shaki

Sheki, July 2 (AZERTAC). Dusen Kaseinov, the Secretary General of the International Organization of Turkic Culture (TURKSOY), has embarked on a visit to Shaki, Azerbaijan.

Kaseinov held a meeting at the City Executive Authorities, where he highlighted the program of the 5th “Silk Road” international music festival to be held in Shaki.

He was informed that the city of Shaki, which turned 2701 years last year, combined Azerbaijan`s historical and cultural heritage. Kaseinov was told that the city was home to over 80 historical and architectural monuments.

TURKSOY plans to hold festivities, concerts and exhibitions with demonstration of national costumes of 11 Turkic speaking countries under the “Silk Road” festival in Shaki this year.

The festival will also see an arts exhibition.
