Ambassador of Azerbaijan to Ukraine Talat Aliyev has met Minister of Labor and Social Policy of Ukraine Mikhail Papiyev, AzerTAj correspondent reports. The meeting was devoted to the signing the protocol of intentions between the Orthopedic Rehabilitation Center of Azerbaijan and Scientific-Production enterprise “Ukrprotez”. The protocol provides for the wide exchange of views concerning the establishment of the joint venture producing the equipment, prosthetic devices and wheelchairs.

Ambassador Talet Aliyev thanked the Ukrainian minister for his personal efforts and care for Azerbaijani disabled who will take a chance to take rehabilitation procedures in resort Saki.

He also said that one of the wheelchairs was granted to the Karabakh war disabled of Ukrainian origin who had lost his leg.

According to ambassador, thanks to President of Azerbaijan the budget of Azerbaijan in 2004 is socially oriented. He also expressed determination that the upcoming official visit of President Ilham Aliyev to Ukraine will be the pivotal stage in the history of bilateral relations.

In conclusion, M. Papiyev pledged to grant a free ticket to Truskavets to the World War II veteran Mukhtar Ibrahimov from Oguz province of Azerbaijan and reimburse his traveling costs.
