UNICEF REALIZING NEW PROJECT IN AZERBAIJAN
As was stated by AzerTAj, Minister Elmar Mammadyarov congratulated Ms. Hanna Singer on her new appointment, highly assessed UNICEF’s activity in the country and stressed the necessity of developing links in the frame of this structure.
Then, Ms. Hanna Singer handed over her letter of appointment to the head of foreign policy department of Azerbaijan Republic and informed on the new program of UNICEF, “The New Country”, to be realized in 2005-2009 in Azerbaijan.
Noting the hard plight of the children from the refugee and IDPs families who were forced to abandon their homelands as a result of the Armenia-Azerbaijan, Nagorny Karabakh conflict, Minister Elmar Mammadyarov expressed hope for further cooperation just in this field.
Ms. Hanna Singer, stated that the Organization she is representing would make further efforts in its activities in the field of combat against AIDS, demining of the territories, construction of health institutions, all-round support of children and other works.
Then, Minister Elmar Mammadyarov wished success Ms. Hanna Singer in her future activity.
