US congressman issues statement on 30th anniversary of Khojaly genocide

The US Congressman Paul Gosar has made a statement on the 30th anniversary of the Khojaly genocide.
The member of the House of Representatives said that another mournful history was commemorated, and that 30 years have passed since the Khojaly tragedy which was committed on February 26, 1992.
Gosar noted that a tragic incident happened during the Armenia-Azerbaijan Karabakh conflict after the collapse of the former USSR, and 613 civilians were killed in the city of Khojaly.
“It is impossible to change what happened, but it is possible to commemorate the victims and remind the whole world that the targeting of civilians will never be accepted. The United States commemorated those who lost their lives in Khojaly so that others do not suffer the same fate again, and supports peace,” the congressman underlined.
Paul Gosar noted that the victims of Khojaly will live in hearts forever.
