Uzbek website posts article about Azerbaijan`s International Mugham Center

Baku, June 24 (AZERTAC). Uzbekistan`s www.sharh.uz website has published an article on International Mugham Center of Azerbaijan.

The author says International Mugham Center is the Center of Azerbaijani arts and music aimed to promote, preserve and popularize specific genre of Azerbaijani music Mugam.

The Mugham Center was built on initiative of First Lady of Azerbaijan, President of the Heydar Aliyev Foundation Mehriban Aliyeva.

The author also informs about President Ilham Aliyev`s decree on the establishment of the Center.

The author notes that President Ilham Aliyev, First Lady Mehriban Aliyeva and former UNESCO director general Koichiro Matsuura attended the opening of the Center.

The author says the Uzbek delegation also attended the events held in the center.

Author Sharafaddin Tulaganov has presented the article to the competition on the “Best article of the year on Azerbaijan” in 2014.
