WORLD`S LARGEST NAGARA FASCINATES BAKU PEOPLE
Hundreds of people who came to Baku`s Azadlig Square for the World Azerbaijanis Solidarity Day and New Year’s Eve celebration were fascinated with the world`s largest nagara (drum) which became a part of the spectacular music and fireworks show.
The nagara which was standing on four wheels traveled through the Bulbul Avenue to the Square where the city`s largest New Year tree was erected.
It was played by a 15-man drum band led by honored artist Natiq Shirinov.
In an interview with AZERTAC reporter, Shirinov said the nagara is the largest of its kind in the world.
It has acoustic and lighting equipment inside, and can be used as a stage if needed.
The celebrations also featured a huge firework and disco which lasted till the morning.
