Egyptian Ambassador: We are ready to support expansion of relations between AZERTAC and MENA VIDEO

“We are ready to support the further expansion of relations between AZERTAC and Egyptian Middle East News Agency (MENA). It is necessary to elevate the ties of cooperation to the level that corresponds to modern demands,” said Egyptian ambassador to Azerbaijan Hisham Mohamed Nagy Abdel Hamid as he met with AZERTAC Chairman of Board Aslan Aslanov.
Noting that this year marks 30th anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic relations between Egypt and Azerbaijan, the ambassador mentioned that the two friendly countries and peoples are bound together by historical and cultural roots. “The cooperation in the field of information and exchange of news contribute to bringing the two peoples closer. In this regard, it is of particular importance to renew the cooperation document signed in 2007 between AZERTAC and the MENA agency in accordance with the requirements of the modern era,” he said.
AZERTAC Chairman of Board Aslan Aslanov expressed his gratitude to his Egyptian colleagues for their support in conveying the truth about the conflict to the Arab world during the 44-day Patriotic War. Aslan Aslanov emphasized the important role of national leader Heydar Aliyev and President Ilham Aliyev in the development and strengthening of the cooperation between Azerbaijan and Egypt.
During the conversation, it was noted that AZERTAC is constantly taking steps to expand its international relations, and this is already yielding positive results. The agency maintains successful cooperation with a number of leading media organizations of the world both on a bilateral basis and within the News Agencies World Congress (NAWC), the Organization of Asia-Pacific News Agencies (OANA) and the Union of OIC News Agencies (UNA).
During the meeting that highlighted the importance of global cooperation in the field of media, including close relations with friendly countries, the sides commended the expansion of media relations between Azerbaijani and Egypt , noting that in this regard, the renewal of the cooperation document signed between AZERTAC and the MENA agency would be a positive step.
