Russia Day marked in Baku VIDEO

The Russian embassy to Azerbaijan has organized an official reception on the occasion of national holiday of the country, Russia Day.
The national anthems of the two countries were played.
Russian Ambassador to Azerbaijan Vladimir Dorokhin highlighted a complicated way of Russia passed over 25 years. He said: “ Russia has coped with all difficulties. The country is on the right track. Russian-Azerbaijani relations are based on the principles of mutual respect and recognizing each other’s sovereignty and territorial integrity. Russia is pleased with the achievements of Azerbaijan as a true friend. I am sure Russia will spare no efforts to further strengthening relations with Azerbaijan”.
Russia is interested in having a strong, stable and prosperous neighbouring country, he added.
Addressing the event Azerbaijani Minister of Transport Ziya Mammadov congratulated the Russian people on behalf of Azerbaijani government. He said Azerbaijan attaches great importance to developing relations between the two countries.
Then the Ambassador awarded "Space" TV channel's president, a well-known director Vagif Mustafayev with Russian "Order of Friendship". He was honoured with the award according to the Russian Federation`s President Vladimir Putin’s Decree for his outstanding contribution to strengthening and developing friendship and cooperation.
The reception brought together a number of Azerbaijani officials, including Azerbaijani MPs, representatives of diplomatic corps accredited in the country and public figures.
