8TH MEETING OF THE HEADS OF STATES AND GOVERNMENTS OF ECO
The Prime Minister of Turkish Republic Rejep Tayyip Erdogan opened the meeting.
Chairman of the 8th meeting has been elected Emomali Rahmonov, the president of Republic Tajikistan, who in his statement has emphasized importance of the all-round economic integration, has called for realization of decisions in section meetings at level of ministers.
Chairman of the Council of Ministers of ECO - Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Republic Tajikistan Talbak Nazarov has presented participants of the 14th meeting of the Council of Ministers of ECO, then ECO Secretary General Askhad Orazbay has told about realization of the Izmir contract signed two years ago, has noted necessity of the prompt realization of Trading agreement of ECO, the Frame agreement on transit transportations, constructions in region missing motor- and railway lines and creation of Bank of Development and Trade, and also the Company on Reinsurance of ECO.
The president of the Republic Tajikistan Emomali Rahmonov has handed awards of ECO over representatives of ECO member-countries for outstanding merits in development of science and technical equipment. Awards in the field of science and technology have been awarded to Azerbaijani scientist Arif Mir Jalal oglu Pashayev.
Participants of meeting adopted a declaration.
On the offer of delegation of the Azerbaijan Republic, the following meeting of heads of the states and governments of ECO was decided to carry out in Baku.
