Ali Larijani: Iran has always supported Azerbaijan's territorial integrity

Iran has always supported Azerbaijan's independence, sovereignty and territorial integrity, said Speaker of the Islamic Consultative Assembly of Iran Ali Larijani as he met with Azerbaijani Minister of Defense Zakir Hasanov in Tehran. Larijani said Iran backs peaceful settlement of the Armenia-Azerbaijan Nagorno-Karabakh conflict within the framework of international law.
Minister Hasanov emphasized the role of numerous meetings and reciprocal visits of the Azerbaijani and Iranian presidents and government officials in the expansion of relations and development of cooperation between the two countries.
Speaking about regional security, Hasanov highlighted negotiations on the settlement of the Nagorno-Karabakh conflict.
They discussed prospects for military and military-technical cooperation between Azerbaijan and Iran, as well as regional and global issues.
