Ambassador Watanabe Katsuya: Urban planning is among Azerbaijan’s priority areas

“Currently, urban planning stands as one of Azerbaijan’s priority areas. In this field, the application of modern and innovative technologies is of particular importance, rather than traditional approaches. In the urban planning process, the use of green energy and the widespread application of information and communication technologies are extremely important,” Japanese Ambassador to Azerbaijan Watanabe Katsuya told AZERTAC.
“Applying Japan’s smart and automated urban planning practices in Azerbaijan could enhance the quality of life for city residents and make a significant contribution to the country’s sustainable development. We strongly hope that Japan’s rich experience in urban planning will be implemented in Azerbaijan, enabling Japan to make tangible contributions to the country’s sustainable development,” the ambassador noted.
