Andrej Bojić: Azerbaijani-Serbian energy cooperation strengthens Europe's resilience
Baku, February 24, Tamilla Mammadova, AZERTAC
“Energy cooperation between Baku and Belgrade contributes to strengthening the resilience of European countries in the face of unstable markets and energy crises,” Serbian expert Andrej Bojić said in the latest episode of the "Azerbaijan and the World" program broadcast on the AZERTAC website.
He stated that energy is the foundation for the development of any society and state, and the issue of energy security is becoming increasingly important amid limited global energy resources and growing global demand. The expert noted that, in the context of the energy transition, electricity is becoming a key element of sustainable development.
Bojić emphasized that Azerbaijan is already exporting natural gas to Serbia and plans to expand supplies. Stable and predictable energy ties, he continued, are crucial both for the national security of individual countries and for the energy stability of Europe as a whole.
He believes that the development of such cooperation contributes to the formation of more reliable energy supply chains and reduces the vulnerability of European countries to external shocks.
