Astana hosts second meeting of TurkPA commission on international relations
Baku, December 12 (AZERTAC). The second meeting of TurkPA`s Commission on international relations was held in Astana, Kazakhstan, on December 12.
The delegation headed by Mr. Ramil Hasanov, Turkpa Secretary General participated at the meeting with members of TurkPA`s - Azerbaijan, Turkey as well as Kazakhstan and Kyrgyzstan.
Opening the meeting, Vice-Chair of TurkPA`s Commission Ulker Guzel gave detailed information about the role and place of TurkPA in the deepening of the relations among Turkic-speaking states.
Member of the Senate of the Kazakhstan Parliament Kuanish Sultanov delivered a report on “The role and place of Turkish Council, TurkPA and TURKSOY in the development of cooperation among the Turkic-speaking countries”.
Ramil Hasanov spoke about TurkPA`s activity and stressed that TurkPA has expanded relations on the international arena.
According to Ramil Hasanov, TurkPA has obtained an observer status at the OSCE Parliamentary Assembly, Inter-Parliamentary Union (IPU), and International Parliamentary Assembly of Organization of Islamic Cooperation.
During the meeting, Hasanov also underlined the importance of the coordination of efforts on the settlement of the Azerbaijan-Armenia, Nagorno-Karabakh conflict.
Deputy Secretary General of Turkic Council Gismat Gozalov noted that the first meeting of the Turkish Council was held in Almaty, Kazakhstan, the second meeting in Bishkek and the third meeting will be held in Baku.
Gismat Gozalov noted that joint works are carried out in the direction of preparing common history, alphabet, terminology and dictionaries.
Secretary General of the Union of Turkish World Municipalities Mustafa Baskurt briefed about the implemented works.
