A sitting of the Central Election Commission of the Azerbaijan Republic was held under presidency of Chairman Mazahir Panahov, on September 16.

The sitting began with the report by CEC Secretary Natig Mammadov with regard to registration of the “Democratic Azerbaijan” bloc founded by the Justice and Civil Solidarity Parties for participation in the municipal elections. The issue was resolved positively.

The next reporter by Secretary Vidadi Mahmudov was related to change in composition of the district election commissions of Binagadi No 8, the second Nizami No 25, Sabirabad-Kurdamir No 65, Masalli municipal No 70, Tovuz-Gazakh-Agstafa No 106 and Agstafa No 108 elections commissions. The Central Election Commission approved the changes proposed.

The Commission members also considered appeals submitted here and adopted corresponding resolutions.

Present at the sitting of the Central Election Commission were representatives of the International Foundation for Election Systems and mass media.
