In the message received by AzerTAj from the center of public relations of the Ministry of National Security, it is stated that last days a number of news agencies and press organs of Russia and the Country referring to official circles of the Russian Federation has disseminated messages that terrorists, ostensibly, use the territory of Azerbaijan.

The Ministry of National Security of the Azerbaijan Republic closely cooperates with bodies of special services of all states - partners in the field of combat against the international terrorism, and working relations dynamically develop. In this sense, resolute and principle position of Azerbaijan - one of active members of antiterrorist coalition, - concrete results of combat against terrorism, intensive data exchange, detention and extradition of the persons who are in the international search, are bright examples of our links on cooperation which constantly receive high estimation and approval of our public and states - partners.

Azerbaijan repeatedly stated that the regions which are taking place outside of the control of our state and the international organizations, - occupied Nagorny Karabakh and adjacent to it territories are used by terrorists and transnational organized criminal groups in the various purposes. The responsibility for it completely lies on the separatist regime.

As if to use by terrorists of the Azerbaijan territories, as a whole, corresponding state structures of Republic, including the Ministry of National Security, completely supervise operative conditions in the country. WE take all necessary measures for exposure of members of the international terrorist organizations and other transnational organized criminal groups, the persons who were taking part in fights in structure of illegal armed formations in separate hot points of region.

At the same time, sounding from time to time in the Russian mass media and not basing on any facts of the statement of the persons called “experts”, and in some cases - representatives of official circles about use by terrorists of the territory of Azerbaijan are caused with feeling of regret and misunderstanding.

The Ministry of National Security makes resolute protest against such displays and states that similar irresponsible statements can throw a shadow on activity of our states and their bodies of special services on combat against criminality, its dangerous kinds, on relations of cooperation and cause confusion in the public of both countries.

At the same time, it would be desirable to think, that statements and interview of separate persons and even some representatives of official circles do not reflect official state position of the Russian Federation.

The Azerbaijan side, as always, is open for fruitful and constructive cooperation, ready to discuss any question causing misunderstanding.
