AZERBAIJAN DEMOCRATIC REPUBLIC’S 90TH ANNIVERSARY MARKED ABROAD
Azerbaijan’s Embassy in Morocco held a ceremony to mark 90th anniversary of the Azerbaijan Democratic Republic (ADR). The ceremony brought together high-ranking officials of the Foreign Ministry of Morocco, the country’s members of parliament, Director-General of the Islamic Educational, Scientific and Cultural Organization (ISESCO) Abdulaziz Othman Altwaijri and others. Omar Hilal, Foreign Ministry’s Secretary General congratulated Azerbaijani people and President Ilham Aliyev on behalf of King Mohammed VI of Morocco.

Another event to mark the 90th anniversary of the Azerbaijan Democratic Republic (ADR) was held in Damascus, Syria.
Mahir Aliyev, Azerbaijani Ambassador to Syria briefed on the history of ADR. He also told of national leader Heydar Aliyev’s significant efforts towards the state building in Azerbaijan, as well as successful domestic and foreign policy pursued by incumbent President Ilham Aliyev.
A ceremony to mark the 90th anniversary of the Azerbaijan Democratic Republic was held in Bern, Switzerland. Top officials of the Foreign Ministry of Switzerland, MPs, diplomats, media representatives and others attended the event. The ceremony attendees were given magazines about Azerbaijan.
Another event to mark the occasion was held by the United Nations Office at Geneva, Switzerland and permanent mission of Azerbaijan to international organizations in the city.
The event brought together UN Deputy Secretary General Sergei Ordzhonikidze, diplomats, as well as representatives from Azerbaijani and Turkish Diaspora.
A conference to mark 90th anniversary of the Azerbaijan Democratic Republic (ADR) was held in Tallinn, Estonia. The event brought together more than 150 guests. The event participants heard reports on the history of ADR by member of the Azerbaijan Parliament Aydin Mirzazade and historian Musa Gasimov.
The conference also marked the 85th birthday of national leader Heydar Aliyev, 90th anniversary of the Republic of Estonia and 20th anniversary of “Aydan” Estonia-Azerbaijan Culture Center.
