AZERBAIJAN HELPS TURKEY WITH NATURAL GAS SUPPLY IN COLD MONTHS
Minister of Energy and Natural Resources of Turkey Hilmi Guler said that the Azerbaijani gas delivered to Turkey is very important and necessary to this country as gas supplies from Iran were suspended in cold winter months. According to Minister, if there was no the gas delivered through the Baku-Tbilisi-Erzurum gas pipeline, the power system of Turkey could have faced a difficult situation.
In spite of the fact that during telephone conversation between the Prime Minister of Turkey and the President of Iran it was informed, that on January 14, delivery of gas from Iran to Turkey will be restored, the press-secretary of the National Gas Company of Iran Ibadullah Ganbari at a briefing on January 12 for journalists, told that in connection with strong frosts date of delivery of gas to Turkey is not known.
