Azerbaijan, Hungary review opportunities for digitalization of consular services
Baku, February 11, AZERTAC
On February 11, the foreign ministries of Azerbaijan and Hungary held the second round of consular consultations in Baku.
The consultations were led by Emil Safarov, Head of the Consular Department of Azerbaijan’s Ministry of Foreign Affairs, and Balázs Farkas, Director of the Department of Consular Affairs and Citizenship at the Hungarian Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Trade.
During the talks, the sides reviewed the current state and prospects for cooperation in consular services with Hungary — an important strategic partner for Azerbaijan — and discussed the possibility of signing new bilateral agreements on the digitalization of consular services.
The parties also exchanged views on the latest developments in the consular field and explored proposals to enhance cooperation in legal assistance, education, migration, labor, and other areas.
