Azerbaijan, Italy discuss prospects for agricultural cooperation
Baku, September 19 (AZERTAC). Azerbaijani Minister of Agriculture Ismat Abbasov has met Italian ambassador to the country Giampaolo Cutillo to discuss prospects for agricultural cooperation between the two countries.
The minister spoke about the development and the reforms implemented in Azerbaijan`s agrarian sector. Abbasov noted the role of reciprocal visits in terms of expanding bilateral relations.
He also stressed the importance of strengthening cooperation between the two countries within a protocol signed between the Azerbaijan Ministry of Agriculture and Italian Ministry of Agricultural, Food and Forestry Policies in 2012.
The Italian ambassador praised socio-economic development of Azerbaijan over last years. Cutillo noted he would spare no efforts to contribute to developing bilateral cooperation between the two countries in the agrarian field.
