AZERBAIJAN, KAZAKHSTAN EMERGENCY MINISTRIES SIGN PROTOCOL ON COOPERATION
Baku, 26 August (AZERTAC). Emergency Ministers Kamaladdin Heydarov of Azerbaijan and Vladimir Bozhko of Kazakhstan have signed Wednesday here a protocol on cooperation.
Prior to the signing ceremony, discussions were held between Heydarov and Bozhko during which the Azerbaijani Minister briefed his Kazakh counterpart on the ongoing reforms in the country.
Heydarov noted relationship between Azerbaijan and Kazakhstan had old history. According to him, bilateral cooperation in political, economic, cultural and other areas has been developing since the two countries regained independence.
Heydarov underlined the importance of cooperation between Azerbaijan and Kazakhstan in preventing emergency situations and eliminating their consequences.
He pointed out the Kazakh delegation`s current visit would contribute to deepening cooperation between the two countries` Ministries even more.
Heydarov said Azerbaijan was willing to share its experience with Kazakhstan in emergency situations.
He also stressed his country was interested in using Kazakhstan`s experience in preventing dust whirls and flooding.
For his part, Vladimir Bozhko stressed the necessity of cooperation between Emergency Ministers of Caspian littoral states in terms of preventing some unexpected events while transporting energy resources.
The sides also discussed other issues of mutual interest.
