AZERBAIJAN PRESIDENT ILHAM ALIYEV RECEIVES IRANIAN AMBASSADOR
At the meeting, the Head of State highly valued the contribution the Iranian Ambassadors had made during his tenure to expanding of the Azerbaijan-Iran relationship.
Touching upon the steadily developing all-round cooperation between the two countries, the President stressed the reciprocal visits by national leader Heydar Aliyev to Iran and IRI President Mohammad Khatami to Azerbaijan, the agreements reached and documents signed in the course of these visits, play a very important role in strengthening of bilateral ties.
Having thanked the President for the warm meeting, the Iranian Ambassador expressed satisfaction with current development of relations between the two countries and highly valued the significance of the reciprocal visits of the Presidents. We recall Heydar Aliyev’s invaluable contributions to expanding and deepening of Azerbaijan-Iran ties with great gratitude, the Ambassador said.
He also stated that successful continuation of the Heydar Aliyev’s policy by President Ilham Aliyev is also highly valued in his country.
In the end, President Ilham Aliyev wished Ambassador Ahad Gazai successful activities in the future, and expressed confidence in rapidly development of the bilateral relations in the future.
